The successful candidate will be encouraged to perform prescribed activities within the client service process, within established timeframes, to provide timely and accurate information and products through direct contact with various staff in the Client Services, Business Development, Claims, and other FMIC/Affiliated FM Departments, as well as with Insureds’ and Brokers. This is an intermediate-level position requiring general supervision and direction. The individual is expected to be able to problem solvebut may require assistance on more difficult or complex tasks. The individual must be able to handle a moderate to heavy workload that will include document creation and distribution, data entry, report generation, and general filing and maintenance, as well as fielding inquiries from Client Service and New Business Development personnel, Insureds, and Brokers.

Responsibilities

As part of the account team, this individual is expected to ensure that customers’ needs are met by learning the business associated with this line of insurance, its products, and related services, as well as having the ability to direct customer inquiries to appropriate sources professionally.

 

Supervise all upcoming deadlines and interact with Cargo Underwriters, New Business Development, Claims and Client Service Departments in researching, assembling, and disseminating information for processing of new business, anniversaries, and endorsements.

Process accurate data and information both from the customer to FM Global Cargo and from FM Global Cargo to the customer within established time frames, per standard guidelines or as directed.

 

Responsible for accurately recording data into and maintaining various internal technological systems. This data directly impacts statistical information used by multiple corporate entities, drives policy issuance and invoicing to our customers and ensures accurate statistics for statutory requirements and satellite systems globally.

 

Ensure compliance with various domestic and international guidelines, as established by the Company, individual countries, states, and provinces to ensure the accurate construction and issuance of policies and related local or underlying policies, as they may exist.

 

Ensure that FM Global Cargo products are accurate, concise and in compliance with the corporate guidelines and procedures, as they may apply, prior to distribution to the customer.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, some college is preferred!

Experience: 3-4 years of insurance or related work experience!

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Advanced computing skills, particularly with MS Office products;
  • Strong math and analytical skills;
  • A highly adaptable team player capable of thriving in a small-team environment
  • A working knowledge of the policy contract and proficiency in policy construction.

  • Ability to proactively seek solutions to simple and complex problems.
  • Self-motivated to maintain a high level of accountability to themselves and others.
