We currently have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the EMEA Finance Team as Accountant III, based in Luxembourg and reporting to the EMEA Financial Reporting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including financial statements and board reports, and support analysis and disclosures.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual returns for various European regulators and other statutory bodies, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare the operating expense sections of monthly US & LuxGAAP management accounts and conduct thorough analytical reviews.
  • Record and oversee operating expense entries and payments in the general ledger.
  • Handle accounting for accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare detailed reconciliations and distribute the monthly reconciliation tracker.
  • Play a crucial role in additional year-end close and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of new internal and external financial reports, enhancing our reporting capabilities.
  • Document processes and procedures to streamline and support the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Support Global and Financial initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with different departments and teams within the group structure.

Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a first experience in a finance-based role (minimum 2-3 years). Alternatively, 4+ years’ experience in a relevant role.
    • Focused individual, with strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

      • Prior experience of PeopleSoft/Oracle based general ledger systems an advantage.
