Summary:
The Compensation Analyst provides analytical and professional-level support with a focus on comprehensive compensation data compilation, tracking, independent analysis, and reporting.
Schedule & Location:
This is an exempt full-time position that is based on-site. Eligible locations are Johnston, RI, Norwood, MA or Waltham, MA. Start and stop times are flexible. Core on-site workdays are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Flexibility for remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays, weekly, based on business needs.
As part of orientation and onboarding, the first three to six months of employment will require on-site presence at our corporate headquarters in Johnston, RI three days per week. Additional on-site requirements throughout the year in Johnston, RI based on busy times of year and business needs.
• Administers compensation programs, including sales compensation calculations and recognition programs
• Participates in testing and evaluation of HRIS system upgrades
• Responds to questions regarding compensation administration
• Collaborates with Managers and HR to create and update job descriptions and set up workflow for approval
• Evaluates job roles and prepare compensation offers
• Supports survey participation and conduct analysis/reporting using a market pricing tool
• Performs straightforward analytical requests
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
Required Work Experience:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring strong analytical skills (e.g., compensation or other HR area, finance, accounting, audit)
Highly Preferred Work Experience:
• 1+ year of relevant work experience in a corporate position within a mid-to-large size company
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including moderately complex Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Customer-focused, team-oriented, and results-driven
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in compensation
Highly Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Workday
• Experience with Payfactors
There are two levels of this role depending on experience and working knowledge of compensation techniques, theories, methods, and practices. Level 1 range: $63,700-$91,700 and Level 2 range: $70,300 - $101,100. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
