FM’s London Operation has an opening for an Account Manager in our London City office. This position's primary function is to serve as the account team leader and be the key interface with clients and brokers on all aspects including insurance products and services, engineering, and claims. This position will perform insurance servicing and underwriting activities on existing accounts and new business and continue to grow our presence in the London Market.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and brokers to ensure long-term customer dedication to FM, including leading a substantial number of face-to-face meetings with senior client personnel.
  • Managing Client Service Teams to support the strategic goals and objectives of our clients by providing professional advice and consultation on insurance coverage and risk management matters.
  • Ensuring stability by retaining existing customers at equitable terms and conditions using FM’s significant insurance capacity in conjunction with our risk management expertise to improve client risk quality alongside delivering long-term profitability for our Company.
  • Working closely with New Business Development Executives on new prospects within the Client Service process, contributing high quality underwriting expertise to win new client accounts.
  • Being responsible for understanding and implementing company underwriting guidelines and standards in the daily management of assigned clients, including global insurance programmes.
  • Demonstrating our dedication to continuous improvement by effective engagement of our clients in our Client Service Process and ensuring clients are aware of our full range of products and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA or ACII a plus!
  • 5+ years industry experience in servicing and underwriting large property accounts of varying occupancies.
  • A background in Loss Prevention would be preferred.
  • Demonstrated efficiency at accessing and influencing the decision maker.
  • Solid understanding of property insurance and forms, financial statements, general loss prevention engineering terms and concepts.
  • Demonstrated above average ability in organisation, problem solving, sales/negotiation, leadership and team building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, presentational and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with considerable attention to detail.
