Summary:
The Employee Communications Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for publishing, posting, distributing, and measuring the effectiveness of enterprise employee communications across FM's communications platforms.

 

This role requires a strong understanding of internal communications best practices and digital communications expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience managing digital communication platforms, such as SharePoint, email newsletters, and employee collaboration tools.

 

Schedule & Location:
This is an exempt full-time position that is office based in Johnston, RI. Employee will have flexibility for occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain internal digital communication platforms including select company SharePoint (sites and pages) and email communication platforms
• Develop and design digital communications plans to support the effective execution of internal campaigns and initiatives including, CEO and Leadership communications, daily content posted to company SharePoint, HR performance management and employee benefits communications, and internal employee broadcast events
• Design, build, implement, maintain, and monitor effectiveness of corporate news and select company SharePoint pages
• Design and distribute quarterly external newsletter delivered to company retiree base
• Implement, monitor, and analyze the effectiveness of employee communication efforts through analytics tools, feedback mechanisms, and surveys
• Provide guidance and support to key stakeholders on internal digital communication best practices and tools in support of a continuously improving employee experience
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in internal communications to suggest innovative strategies and tools

Qualifications

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, human resources, or a related field

 

Required Work Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant experience specifically within a corporate digital communications setting 

 

Highly Preferred Work Experience:
• 7+ years of relevant experience specifically within a corporate digital communications setting 

 

Required Skills:
• Proven experience in internal communications, digital communications, or a similar role
• Proficiency in using digital communication tools, collaboration platforms, content management systems, and email marketing software
• Familiarity with analytics tools and metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts
• Understanding of intranet platforms, and other digital tools commonly used for internal communications
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality and error-free content
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism

 

Highly Preferred Skills:
• Microsoft Sharepoint 
• Employee Intranet platforms 

 

The hiring range for this position is $90,720-$130,400 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
