Responsibilities

Join the Administrative Team in support of our events and activities held here at the Research Campus.  The campus allows visitors to experience firsthand the story of FM through our Brand Experience tour program.  While working under the supervision of the Administrative Manager, this internship offers the student an opportunity to assist with all the on-site functions of events, meetings, and other programs here by performing the following duties:

  • Pre-event logistics planning such as catering, A/V, meeting space & set-up.
  • Provide on-site support during events.
  • Post-event logistics include room tear down, laundry, and PPE disinfection.
  • Communication liaison between various teams before and during events.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring guests are as well.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

For planning purposes, the expected time frame for this co-op would August-December 2025  

Qualifications

Current enrollment in a college or university and working towards a degree in Event Management, Hospitality or related field.

Junior or Senior level status in college.

Ability to work full time during summer internship; Hours: Monday Friday, 7am-3:30pm.

Schedule flexibility needed due to event start and end times.

       Strong presentation and communication skills.

Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

Efficient time management skills; naturally inquisitive and able to undertake and deliver projects.

Familiarity with MS Office products.

Ability to handle confidential information.

Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

The student must be able to provide his/her own transportation to and from the campus located at 743 Reynolds Road West Glocester, RI 02814.
