Hobbs Brook Real Estate (HBRE) is a leading commercial real estate firm specializing in asset management, property management, and construction management of office, life science, and hotel properties. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to our tenant partners. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join us for the summer and gain hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry.

 

The summer intern will work on a rotation through our asset management, property management, and construction management departments. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects of commercial real estate and develop a well-rounded skill set.

 

Schedule & Location

This internship position is full-time office-based 37.5 hours, 5 days per week throughout the summer months at our Waltham, MA location. Occasional local travel to surrounding FM offices for meetings and conferences to be expected based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Asset Management: Assist in analyzing property performance, conducting market research, and preparing financial reports. Participate in asset valuation and investment strategy discussions.
  • Property Management: Support day-to-day operations of commercial properties, including tenant relations, lease administration, and maintenance coordination. Assist in property inspections and compliance checks.
  • Construction Management: Collaborate with the construction team on project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Assist in monitoring construction progress and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

  • Progress towards a bachelor's program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for the commercial real estate industry.
