Claims Intern

Underpinning FM’s excellent client service is our Claims Group - with a dedicated team of over 200 claims professionals, across 32 offices worldwide. When bad things happen, such as fires, floods, and supply chain incidents, our claims superstars work hand in hand with our clients to minimize disruption and restore operations. 

Schedule & Location 
This is a full-time, office-based position working throughout the summer months Monday through Friday at our Johnston, RI, and Norwood, MA, offices. Occasional travel may be expected. 

Responsibilities 

As an FM Corporate Claims Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled professionals across our organization and contribute to meaningful projects. As an intern you will: 

• Explore Claims and the broader insurance and financial services industry.
• Learn about FM’s claims process and our different insurance products.
• Analyze claims-related data to support business decisions. 
• Deliver on business efficiency projects to improve our organization. 
• Network with leaders across the FM group. 
• Collaborate with skilled claims professionals in a dynamic work environment. 

Qualifications

• Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science,  Data Analytics, Engineering, Risk Management/Insurance, or a related field.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint. Preferred experience with artificial intelligence (AI) may prove useful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• A team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work full-time during the summer and commute to our offices in Johnston, 
• RI and Norwood, MA. Occasional travel may be expected. 

The hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
