We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst Co-op to join our Corporate Underwriting teams. This full-time, in-person co-op opportunity is designed for students who want to apply their analytical and collaborative skills to real-world business challenges in natural hazards and catastrophe aggregation underwriting. The work will be tailored to your strengths – whether you lean technical or business focused – and you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting critical underwriting decisions.
Support natural hazards and catastrophe aggregation underwriting decisions
Create real-time impact analysis of natural catastrophes
Create reports, analyses, and automation to support business needs
Create pro-forma models to help determine the impact of changes to underwriting terms and conditions (e.g. deductible changes, capacity allocation or introduction of sublimit)
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define internal and external metrics & system requirements
Currently enrolled and in a college or university and working towards a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a data analytics, computer science, business, finance or commerce.
Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level status
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following is a plus: SQL, Power BI, Excel.
Ability to learn quickly on the job, collaborate with teams and share ideas to solve problems
Excellent written & oral communication skills, and strong organizational & planning skills
