The person in this position will assist FM Global clients in physically protecting their large industrial and commercial properties against fire, explosion, earthquake, collapse, windstorm, mechanical and electrical breakdown and many other hazards. He or she will work with clients to develop sound loss prevention recommendations in order to manage any exposures, and, once the solution is agreed, will help manage the project through to completion. In order to stay abreast of new developments in the field, this person will receive frequent technical training that involves independent and classroom study. You should be willing to operate from a home office and will be expected to travel to clients' facilities; overnight travel is expected approximately 25-30% of the time, dependant on location.
Successful candidates have the following qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, materials and mining).
1-5 years of general industry experience.
Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.
Solid technical aptitude.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Fire prevention and protection is an asset.
