The Customer Service Consultant position is responsible for coordinating engineering resources to mitigate exposures at client locations. This is done via inbound and outbound calls, e-mails and fax from clients and Consultant Engineers.
Assist clients with managing Automatic Fire Protection Impairments and minimize the extent and duration of such impairments. Record, prioritize and follow-up on impairments while determining the associated Loss Expectancy and scenarios.
Record and Manage Improperly Closed Valves reported by Consultant Engineers.
Coordinate action plans for clients with extended impairments, Major Impairments, idle/vacant locations, and strikebound plants. Communicate client activity with the Account Team per FM Global requirements.
Work with the engineering department to coordinate visits, if necessary.
In times of Natural Hazard Catastrophes, work with the engineering department to contact clients to canvass for damage and minimize exposures.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or College Certificate/Diploma preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted. Preference given to Engineering or Fire Protection backgrounds.
Experience: 3+ years office experience.
Sills/Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Above average organizational and customer service skills.
