FM Global is embarking on a transformation to redefine how we deliver products to market.  This transformation will use Agile principles as a way to improve our performance and better serve the needs of our clients.  By moving to Agile, we are creating an even more responsive, client-centric organization, enabling us to deliver our products more efficiently.

Responsibilities - External

The agile chapter lead is responsible for building the new agile coaches and scrum master capabilities within the product organization. They work on coaching and mentoring committed chapter members to the overall success of all agile transformation and new way of working. They guide individuals within their chapter to build the appropriate skills and capabilities needed for successful adoption of agile principles and practices. They are focused on creating high performing teams across the product and technology enablement organizations.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Develop chapter members to acquire and grow the skills and capabilities needed for efficient and effective adoption of agile principles and practices.
  • Set up interaction and knowledge sharing processes among Chapter employees in different product teams.
  • Participate in solving complex process challenges that require the highest competency level as an expert with consultation with the product organization.
  • Set targets for development and growth and complete final assessment of Chapter employees in professional development.
  • Prepare decisions to hire/dismiss Chapter employees in consultation with Product Owners.
  • Resolve organizational issues of keeping the Chapter members at work and meeting product demand.

Qualifications - External

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer information systems or equivalent is required. Masters Degree in computer science or management of information systems is a plus.

Experience:

  • 7+ years exposure and experience working in iterative or agile like environment
  • Experience in fast-paced Agile environments as a Squad member is a plus.

    Scrum Master certification (or equivalent) is a plus

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate in the capacity of a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives seeking opportunities to further promote and apply agile mindset within the organization.
  • Knowledge applying agile principles outside technology solution development to drive business agility.
  • Knowledgeable about Agile principles and application, or a fast learner with strong passion for Agile
  • Passionate about change and continuous improvement; willing to challenge status quo and dissent when needed, and not afraid to point out development areas and
