We are currently looking for a consultant engineer in the greater e area of Krakow or Katowice, Poland who will report to the Frankfurt Operations in Germany.
Consultant Engineers are responsible for conducting risk evaluations at client’s sites identifying potential risks to the clients’ business processes and providing loss prevention recommendations to mitigate property damage and long term business interruptions. Consultant engineers support our clients at new Greenfield projects as well as on any risk improvement activities.
The career at FM Global starts with a structured training programme including self-study, e-based assessment and on-site mentoring. This training is supposed to last for approx. 12 months. It also includes three practical courses at our training facilities in the USA. After the training is successfully completed, the applicant will soon find him- or herself working independently from his or her home office, preferable in the greater area of Krakow or Katowice, Poland, travelling to client facilities predominately in Poland but potentially also in other Eastern European countries to work with clients to understand their risks, solve complicated technical issues, and sharing his/her findings with the local management of the world’s best-known companies.
In this ‘hands-on’ job you will need to be a problem solver, specialist and consultant, deciding how best to protect the companies, for which you are responsible. In order to fulfil this role, you will have an engineering degree (mechanical, process engineering, electrical, industrial, etc.), a minimum of three years postgraduate industry experience and a willingness to travel extensively in Eastern Europe. You will have a very good knowledge of English in written and spoken, speak Polish fluently and have a valid driver’s license. Additional language skills, in particular German, would be a plus. You will be expected to work independently and should be willing to operate from a home office.
