FM Global is a leading property insurer of the world's largest businesses, providing more than one-third of FORTUNE 1000-size companies with engineering-based risk management and property insurance solutions. FM Global helps clients maintain continuity in their business operations by drawing upon state-of-the-art loss-prevention engineering and research; risk management skills and support services; tailored risk transfer capabilities; and superior financial strength. To do so, we rely on a dynamic, culturally diverse group of employees, working in more than 100 countries, in a variety of challenging roles.

FM Global Research is the driving force behind our property loss-prevention engineering and understanding of the hazards our clients face. FM Global has been the leader in property loss-prevention research for more than 175 years.

Whether in Asia, Latin America or Europe, as our current and future clients establish themselves in emerging markets, the building codes and standards they encounter could have an adverse effect on their risk profile. The job of FM Global Research’s International Codes and Standards department is to influence and elevate those standards wherever necessary to help our policy holders achieve a strong risk profile and resiliency wherever they do business.

As part of the International Codes and Standards Area within Research, you will apply your technical knowledge and expertise to develop strategies and plans to influence the adoption and advocacy of FM Global loss prevention standards and recommended practices working with government agencies, non-governmental entities, and local businesses, with the goal of reducing critical gaps between local codes and standards and those of FM Global.

FM Global’s Research Division is always keeping their eyes open for relative talent for future openings. If you are a resourceful and consultative problem-solver with strong technical expertise and communication skills, and who is interested in developing and executing business plans to influence property loss prevention-related building codes and standards for organizations at the country/region level, please submit a resume or CV online for future consideration.
