Responsibilities - External

Do you have a knack for seeing the answers in the data and providing insights using data based analytics? Are you interested and curious about what the data means and in identifying business issues and trends to help shape the future of underwriting at FM Global?

As a member of the Loss Analysis department you will work on a variety of projects providing analytical support for FM Global’s internal and external customers.   Not only will you be extracting loss data (and related non-loss data) from multiple company databases, you will be performing data integrity audits, loss studies and a variety of other analytical reports.   As a Loss Analyst, you will be expected to understand, interpret and communicate the FM Global loss experience reflected in the results. In addition you will develop dashboards, produce ad hoc reports and contribute to department objectives.

Qualifications - External

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of zero-three years of progressive experience in a corporate environment with the desire to advance one’s career in the business of insurance.

A Bachelor of Science or equivalent is required in Business, Math or Statistics and having insurance industry experience is preferred. You must have excellent communication, presentation skills and the ability to negotiate and influence successful outcomes with diverse business groups. Effective problem solving, decision making and strong analytical skills are a must. Excellent computer skills across various hardware systems and PCs are a must. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of MS Office products, including Excel, Access, SharePoint and SQL server.
