FM Global’s business technology transformation has produced changes to improve how we deliver technology solutions to market. These changes include the formation of a new technology enablement organization and establishment of a chapter specializing in architecture. The chapter will create several new enterprise architect roles. These positions will report to the Chapter Lead for Architecture.
The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for alignment of IT infrastructure with business processes to enable achievement of business vision and desired outcomes. He or she identifies and assesses the current state of the technology, systems and processes of the organization and provides recommendations, strategies, and roadmaps to move the company toward an optimized future state that improves business capabilities and drives innovation. The incumbent collaborates with Solution Architects (SA) to provide guidance that ensures technology products are designed to support the evolution of business objectives. The EA provides technical governance for certain overarching technical constructs. He or she fosters collaboration across the Product and Technology Enablement organizations and develops cross-organizational relationships with business and IS partners to influence the enterprise wide technology architecture.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience and training. Advanced degree and certification are desirable.
