    Responsibilities - External

    The Disaster Recovery Coordinator/Business Analyst will partner with risk management, operations, business units, product owners, applications, systems and infrastructure teams to define and deliver IT-DR capabilities. The role will collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements, align requirements with available corporate capabilities, perform gap analyses and make recommendations for aligning business objectives through a DR roadmap plan they develop in collaboration with infrastructure and application teams.


    The role is responsible for the Information Technology DR program ensuring capabilities meet or exceed business unit recovery requirements and objectives. The individual will lead, influence and advance, the DR program vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap to continually improve systems resiliency and recovery capabilities as part of the IS Business Continuity Plan. This position maintains and leads multiple disaster recovery exercises at regular planned intervals, inclusive of testing and training to ensure performance of those plans is in alignment with the overall FM Global business continuity program. In this role the individual will work closely with IS, business, and risk management stakeholders to drive these high value activities which maximize program investments with measurable results through a clear understanding of success criteria.


    1. Partner with risk management, operations, business units, product owners, applications, systems and infrastructure teams to define and deliver IT-DR capabilities.
    2. Work with Infrastructure and other technology managers to ensure DR solutions are adequate, in place, and maintained to advance the overall Disaster Recovery plan.
    3. Establish guidelines and supporting procedures for the IT-DR program to meet business-defined recovery objectives.
    4. Develop and project manage yearly recovery objectives and all DR testing exercises while leading team members from across a matrix organization.
    5. Understand technical and process risks and provide timely mitigation and remediation plans.
    6. Demonstrate working knowledge of IT infrastructure including server, storage, network, and backup recovery technologies, as well as an understanding of security and system change control process.

    Qualifications - External

    Bachelor degree in Information Technology or relate field/experience. Advanced degree preferred but not required

    Certification in Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity (CBCP or similar) is a plus.

    Education: Bachelor degree required.

    Experience: 6+ years of IT experience/business analysis

    Experience supporting Disaster Recovery program activity in some capacity

    2+ years experience performing project management activities




    • Strong Knowledge and understanding of current enterprise Disaster Recovery planning strategies, technologies, tools, and infrastructure techniques used to protect and recover business applications.


    • Experience gathering requirements, physical design, and working with business processes.
    • Proven ability to work in technical environments that use tools involved in data flow diagramming, data analysis, issue tracking, and documentation and presentation.
    • Proven experience with managing projects of significant scope and complexity with project teams consisting of 10+ individuals.
