    Responsibilities - External

    The Manager of IS Governance & Administrative Services is a crucial role requiring a strong strategic outlook balanced with a practical approach in achieving tactical objectives. The incumbent will deliver effective tracking, forecasting and planning of information services financials, budget, vendor management, purchasing, contract management and business continuity programming. They are also responsible for ensuring Information Services compliance with FM Global Standards along with any local, state, federal and international regulations that apply to our industry.

     

    The IS Administrative Service function includes Budgeting & Forecasting, IT Procurement, IT Accounting and IT Allocations. They manage the vendor relationship, including negotiating pricing and contract provisions, for all IS procurement, maintenance and service contracts. 

    The Production Administration function includes the development, maintenance and use of Change Control and Release Management processes as well as the systems utilized by those functions. This position also oversees the production release process and serves as an escalation point for “go/no go” decisions. They ensure that these processes are effectively communicated and used throughout the IS organization.

    In the area of IS Governance, implementation, monitoring, and auditing of key management and IT controls is required to determine effectiveness. Oversight and implementation monitoring of the IS Information Security Standards including Compliance oversight of company policy requirements and regulations (Cyber/Information Security, Physical, Records, MAR, regulatory etc.) is a core component of this role.

    Additionally, this position is accountable to ensure that we have an active IS Business Continuity program in place that aligns with our organizational needs, regulations which also includes a mature Disaster Recovery plan that is continuously maintained and tested.

    This position is a manager of individual contributors. As such, the incumbent must be adept at setting direction and objectives for his/her team and then ensuring that results are achieved while growing the capabilities of their team and coaching individuals to align with business needs/objectives and in their career advancement.  

    Qualifications - External

    Education:     

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, advanced degree in business or technology is a plus

    Experience:       

    8+ years of related work experience, which ideally includes, IT budgeting, IT Auditing, Management of people and corporate processes along with service delivery. Strong financial and vendor management is desired.

    Skills/Knowledge:           

    • Ability to successfully manage an IT financial plan providing accurate and actionable cost prediction and comparison(s).
    • Successful vendor relationship management activities, including negotiating pricing and contract provisions, for all IS procurement, maintenance and service contracts.
    • Knowledge and experience with an IT procurement process including inventory and disposal control.
    • Knowledge of IT governance along with auditing principles and the ability to measure compliance and effectiveness.
    • Knowledge and expertise with business continuity best practices.
    • Knowledge and experience with an IT Change Management control process and production control activities.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts or business rules in business terms.
    • Strong customer focus and relationship skills with ability to manage client expectations of business sponsor/business unit staff.
    • Demonstrated ability to staff, lead, influence and motivate individuals that may comprise multiple, results-driven project teams which apply skills and techniques to solve problems and to meet business objectives.
    • Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation involving cross-functional staff and both internal and external resources.
