Under general supervision, provides general administrative and secretarial support to a work group and/or manager(s).
Main responsibilities :
Reads and routes incoming mail; locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by manager.
Composes and types correspondence and/or reports from dictation, verbal direction, or from knowledge of company policy or procedures; files correspondence and other records.
Assists executive in some administrative details, usually of a confidential nature.
Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate person; places outgoing calls.
Schedules appointments for others and makes meeting arrangements, as required. May arrange travel schedule and reservations.
Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and escorts visitors to appropriate person.
Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information; may prepare reports using more advanced applications of spreadsheet and/or database software.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Experienced Admin Assistant - 2-5 years of administrative/secretarial experience supporting a work group or manager.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and other spreadsheet or database software, as indicated by the position; good keyboard skills; typing speed and accuracy; refined telephone skills; good written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; ability to establish and/or maintain filing systems; ability to handle confidential information and material
