  • Overview - External

    Statutory reporting:

    1) Perform various balance sheet reconciliations.

    2) Book entries in the accounting system.

    3) Assist in the preparation of financial reporting (including financial statements and other board reports) and schedules to support analysis and disclosures.

    4) Assist in the development of new internal and external financial reports.

    5) Document processes and procedures to support the preparation of regulatory reporting.

    6) Assist in the preparation and filing of a variety of other reporting requirements (e.g. National Statistics, branc reporting).

    7) Work alongside the Finance Department in Luxembourg, the UK and the US to ensure existing data is used consistently and efficiently.

     

    Tax compliance:

    1) Assist in the review of income tax returns and tax payment instalments, as appropirate.

    2) Build good relationships with external advisors and the FM Global tax departments.

     

    Other:

    1) Support GLobal and Financial initiatives and projects.

    2) Support local business departments and gain a good understanding of operations.

    Qualifications - External

    1) University degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline with a first' experience in a finance-based role.

    2) Strong knowledge of Luxembourg insurance sector and reporting requirements, would be considered as an advantage.

    3) Ability to review, interpret and apply technical requirements.

    4) Accurate and reliable with good analytical and communication skills.

    5) Strong team working skills.

    6) Flexible and willingness to evolve in a new environment.

    7) Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.

    8) Perfectly fluent in English and French.

    9) Part/Qualified accontant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent will be considered as an advantage
