    We currently have a Solvency II Accountant position available immediately within the Financial Reporting Team in the Windsor office.




    Responsibilities - External


    • Preparation of the Standard Formula calculation including sensitivity and scenario testing.
    • Quarterly preparation of the technical provisions on a Solvency II basis.
    • Performing annual back-testing and validation checks on the technical provisions.
    • Assisting with the preparation and collation of quarterly and annual reporting templates.
    • Preparation of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) calculation including sensitivity and scenario testing.
    • Ensuring completion of the Risk Appetite monitoring control process.
    • Updating of Solvency II internal policy documentation.
    • Documenting and maintaining processes and procedures to support the preparation of regulatory templates.
    • Identifying opportunities for process and reporting improvements, working alongside the Financial Reporting Insurance Accounting team and the business.
    • Preparation of the Swiss Tied Asset calculation and co-ordination of the monthly reporting to the General Representative
    • Supporting the preparation of local regulatory reporting requirements and responding to ad-hoc data requests.
    • Preparation of UK National Statistics returns
    • Maintenance of the OneSource external reporting database.
    • Providing year-end support to the Financial Reporting team.

    The role will provide the successful applicant the opportunity to work closely with all areas of Finance in helping to deliver key regulatory reporting deliverables.

    Qualifications - External

    • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent qualification.
    • Ability to review, interpret and apply technical requirements.
    • A self-starter with good organisational skills.
    • Accurate and reliable with good analytical and communication skills.
    • Strong team working skills.
    • Ability to think outside the box and identify new approaches.
    • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Excel and Word).
    • A knowledge and understanding of the Solvency II regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
