SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST/CONTROLS SYSTEMS SCIENTIST
DUTIES: Identify the most pressing problems and develop practical guidance and solutions for risk mitigation. Focus on protecting system in high challenge industries, e.g. Power Generation and Chemical. Develop and lead instrumentation and control systems research at FM Global. Develop innovative solutions for FM Global clients to address the control systems related risks/exposures. Develop/update systems and guidelines to achieve safe and secure design and operation of control systems. Support Development of certification protocols for safe and secure instrumentation and controls systems. Interface with engineering at FM Global and at FM Global client locations, as needed. Develop cyber related protection guidelines for ICS.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and 5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls Systems field. Requires 5 years of experience in each of the following: instrumentation and control systems design, implementation or usage; analyzing systems diagrams, understanding normal operations and troubleshooting abnormal conditions; designing PLC systems. Requires 2 years of experience in DCS and SCADA systems.
