To do so, we rely on a dynamic, culturally diverse group of employees, working in more than 100 countries, in a variety of challenging roles.
AFM has an immediate opening for a Group Manager Account Engineering (GMAE) in the Toronto office. Reporting to the AFM Area Manager the GMAE is accountable for providing expert technical guidance to and managing Account Engineers in this office’s territory to ensure a consistent approach to risk identification, assessment and improvement. AFM Toronto clients include a diverse mix of manufacturing, retail, hospital and real estate accounts. The GMAE assures the effective application of the Client Service Process, such that relationships with our clients advance towards the goal of being a "trusted advisor", risk improvement objectives are achieved, and the value of our loss prevention services are effectively communicated.
In addition, the GMAE manages internally-driven transactions including Risk Report handling, assessment of large exposures, driving Focus Account risk improvement success, etc. The GMAE lead their team members to properly evaluate, assess and communicate the nature, magnitude and impact of exposures identified by field engineers, both within FM Global and to the client. They will also assure their account engineering team effectively communicate with field engineering in pursuing common risk servicing and risk improvement goals and objectives.
As part of the AFM management team, the GMAE sets local departmental policy, goals and objectives in support of Corporate and Operation's needs. They provide leadership towards profitability by reduced losses through effective risk selection and risk improvement, equitable cost/fee arrangements and the efficient use of all engineering resources. The GMAE plays a significant management role in the Prospect process by coordinating the engineering-related activities involving new business opportunities in the operation.
