    FM Global is looking for an Engineering Specialist (B&M), with experience in electrical and mechanical inspection/maintenance of industrial equipment (e.g. boilers, electrical distribution equipment, turbine generators, etc.) This position is Texas based and will be operated from a remote, home office. Travel will include travelling to client facilities with overnight travel expected to be approximately. 25% - 30% annually.



    We are looking for an electrical, mechanical or chemical engineer with at least 2 years of work experience in the high hazard industry, such as chemical, power generation, pulp & paper, etc. B&M trained engineers willing to specialize in high hazard occupancies will also be a consideration for this position.

    The position is client-facing and will assist FM Global clients with the protection of their facilities against mechanical/electrical breakdown, fire and other hazards. The role involves conducting field visits, office work, and projects for large industrial occupancies and hazards. Initially, assignments will be of limited scope and complexity giving the opportunity to learn and develop. There will be a gradual progression to assessing risks at larger complex industrial properties.

    Work will be conducted with minimal supervision. The ability to work independently, is a must.


    Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Boiler and Machinery

    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

    Strong verbal and written communications skills

    Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written

    Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

    Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision
