    The Field Engineering Department has a vacancy for a Consultant Engineer or Senior Consultant Engineer, located in Denmark. Candidates can be a new graduate for entry level position, through to an engineer with several years of industrial experience. The Consultant Engineer or Senior Consultant Engineer will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of property loss prevention, comprising self-study, e-based learning, and on-site mentoring. This training is conducted in Sweden as well classroom and FM Global’s SimZone training in the USA.


    • Conduct on-site loss prevention evaluations that identify all reasonably foreseeable physical and human element exposures for Fire, Boiler and Machinery as well as Natural Hazards
    • Accurately quantify exposures at client locations to assure that the Account Team places an appropriate level of attention on the exposure
    • Obtain local client understanding and agreement on the hazards/exposures discovered and their potential business impact
    • Achieve practical, effective on-site risk improvement at client locations
    • Illustrate the value-added differential of FM Global engineering capabilities
    • Accurately communicate the hazard and risk


    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent
    • Relevant work experience is preferred, especially in the pulp and paper or power generation industries
    • Availability for travel, largely within the Nordic counties but sometimes further afield
    • Strong verbal and written skills, in both, Danish and English languages
    • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • Efficient time management competency with minimal supervision
    • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
    • Valid driver’s licence
